Overview

During this day tour, we will visit the region that is the Birthplace of Macedonian State. We depart from Volos at 08:30. Our first stop is the archeological site in Dion. Among the findings that we will see there are the Demetra’s and Isidas’, ornaments, Dionisos’ villa and Asclepion, streets with shops and the town’s wall, the Hellenistic and roman theatre (at a distance), roman baths with an amplitude of sculptures, the Conservatoire as well as an old Christian Basilica. Afterwards we will visit the archaeological site in Vergina, where was the old capital of the ancient Macedonian State, Aiges. We will visit the royal Graves. Philip’s grave with the findings of unique value. (Golden larnax, hydria, shield) which consist the elements of an international brightness. We will have time to eat at local restaurants. We depart to Volos.
